Winning The Fight For Truth with Big Wind

Invenergy apparently offered this clumsy and subversive contract to mitigate television reception problems at homes near one of their wind energy projects. Review their (alleged) embarrassing contract offer by CLICKING HERE. Champaign and Logan Counties - is this the kind of company we want changing our skies and landscapes for decades to come?

What do turbine manufacturers say about setbacks from residential uses?
What do turbine manufacturers say about employee safety and safe distances from wind turbines?
What does Ohio Governor Ted Strickland think about that?
... BUT WHAT COULD POSSIBLY BE BAD ABOUT WIND ENERGY?
8. Bird and Bat deaths - Caution: This area can dillute your efforts to stop industrial wind development due to a high level of cooperation between state and federal wildlife entities and wind energy developers. This may be related to the global warming hysteria phenomenon. Wildlife protection may be a valid reason to object to wind turbines, but good luck stopping a project on these grounds. In my opinion, you are better off becoming technically competent on the capacity value and emissions offset issues, and hiring consultants / expert witnesses to defend you in this area.

Adding INSULT to injury, may we present #4:
Does not produce to demand and extremely low offset of coal or nuclear power!
(See page 12 to see what our transmission organization says)

3. Human Health Effects - Caution: This reason can dillute your efforts due to a relatively low correlation between validated physical health problems and proximity to wind turbines. It may be a valid reason, but good luck convincing lawmakers. The testimony supporting lack of epidemiological studies is compelling. (11/10/2009)
2. Compromises Residential Property Values
(Near the end of this Senator's entry: "I’m sure the property values of this immediate area have been negatively effected.")

BUT ISN'T COAL BURNING MORE ENVIRONMENTALLY DAMAGING AND RISKIER TO HUMAN HEALTH THAN WIND ENERGY?
Not really. On a KWH by KWH basis, wind turbines are so ineffective, it takes FIVE THOUSAND of them to replace a single 1GW coal or nuclear plant! That many wind turbines would "industrialize" at least 1,000 square miles of rural landscape.
And with environmental impacts like these, thousands of wind turbines would have dire environmental consequences.
