Aster begins funding service centers in its hospitals to help patients: Aster DM Healthcare
heaAster DM Healthcare has launched the Aster Financial Services Center at its 11 hospitals and the next two to provide funds to patients in need of financial support.
Easy-care aster was developed in association with Bajaj Finserve and Federal Bank to provide patient financing that can be repaid in monthly installments (EMI) over a period of one year. The interest charges on the loan are borne by Aster DM Healthcare.
Speaking of initiative, Dr Azad Moopen, Founding President and CEO of Aster DM Healthcare said, “Aster Financial Service Center is launched to meet the financial needs of needy patients who struggle when important treatment is needed. AFSC is a one-stop, hassle-free service first introduced in India. The philosophy behind this is to ensure that a patient who comes to our hospitals should be treated if there is a bed or an available investigation window, through the various services offered by the center. “
Explaining the module and the working process, Dr Harish Pillai, CEO of Aster Hospitals & Clinics, India, said: “Once their financial needs have been established, the patient’s family or the patient himself will be guided to a package of unique services offered. ranging from interest-free loans to innovative crowdfunding options.
There are several crowdfunding platforms that Aster DM Healthcare has worked with over the past five years, such as Milaap, Impact Guru, etc. to meet the needs of people who cannot afford. The ease with which many deserving patients have secured significant cash through internet crowdfunding paves the way for poor and needy patients to have their true funding needs met.
